[A picture of the snow in New Tokyo. The path itself is quite covered, but there is an indentation where everyone's been walking. Apparently Riku liked the well-treaded path enough to save an image of it.
Also? Not the picture he meant to send.]
Look, I'm worried. We haven't seen anything like this before.
I'm sorry.
I'll keep trying, but I'm helping people. I'm sure you are, too. Everything is on the fritz, or I'd try to call you.
[ The warnings had come from El, and that had given Jack more than enough reason to not try and send any direct messages. Other people are not being nearly as careful, though. It's awkward to receive what looks to be a pretty personal message, so he keeps his response brief. ]
[Gabriel isn’t going to outright say that going to Antarctica was a mistake—all things considered he escaped relatively unscathed. They get the gate together and soon enough he’s back in New Amsterdam, though they’re all without many answers. Given the casualties they suffered, he hardly thinks the expedition was worth it, but how could he have known?
He supposes he can think on it some more when he’s back at the apartment. Gabriel knows that the very act of pushing in the door will alert Jack to his presence, but he calls out anyway, if only to be aggravating.]
Honey, I’m home.
[Jack had been worried—Gabriel doesn’t blame him, even though they’ve been in contact. He imagines Jack is going to want some kind of debrief, but Reyes doesn’t really have much to say.]
[ It's been a hectic few days. While Jack's aware that the aftershocks up here in New Amsterdam are nothing compared to the reports from Antarctica and the cities below the equator, everyone has been on-edge. The new arrivals had come, then there'd been those bizarre dreams that all of them had experienced on the same night, and it feels like there's something on the horizon.
Whether it's that dream world that Clarke told him about or another Zerzura type situation, he doesn't know. But with Gabriel stranded somewhere at the edge of the world, Jack's been even more tense than usual, his brain running him through all the worst case scenarios.
He hasn't been sleeping well.
As soon as he hears the door he steps out into the living area. When he sees Gabriel and hears his voice, as unaffected as ever, some of that tension bleeds out of him.
Yet his jaw clenches and he sighs as he makes a sweeping gesture with his arm. ]
Why didn't you text saying you managed to find a way back?
[ Of course, Jack already knows the answer. Gabriel loves to make an entrance. ]
It isn't public information yet, but considering what you said about your power and the discussion regarding getting information from one of the companies, I feel like you should be aware that something similar happened recently with Riverstone.
[And since the people involved are planning to make this all public to the other Displaced--as far as Lance knows, anyway--then he doesn't think it's a problem to let Jack know privately since it's so directly relevant.]

I spoke to Lexa and Ren. She kept her tattoo and had one of the dreams - she may have gotten the name of the restaurant, "The Four Horsemen." Grey said it had great reviews. She took it upon herself to reach out to more people she knew as well.
A woman named Callisto got mention of New Moscow in her dream, and she is also tattooed. Ren still has his as well, and his dream mentioned something about sunsets. I was in touch with Joe - no tattoo, no dream. Clarke has her tattoo, no dream.
Do you want to reach out to Laura and Lance? How well do you know either of them? I am waiting to hear back from Lexa on some others in the meantime.
So that's a name, a location, a time of day, and the number of people. We're already at five, aren't we?
[ Him, Cassian, Ren, Lexa, and Callisto. ]
Guess we may as well be thorough, though. I can reach out to Lance and Laura, sure. I know Lance better than Laura, but we knew each other in the Aerie. For whatever that's worth.
[ Not much, in his opinion. But it feels wrong to actually say that here. Hm. ]
