How could he have gone into stasis for three days, only to now think that a year has passed back home? Home isn't supposed to exist anymore, so what does any of this even mean? ]

If I do find out, you'll be the first I talk to. It does mean one thing though. They can grab us and return us at any time they choose. I know that they've doled out "gifts" as well. To others. So they work in mysterious ways and I wonder why they choose to do things this way. I never liked all this cloak and dagger stuff.

Ultimately he doesn't agree with the Orbiters keeping them in the dark and doing things that contradict each other. Maybe putting them back into stasis is necessary to grant people these "gifts"? But if that's the case, why not just come out and say it? ]
Believe me, I don't like being kept in the dark either. I haven't trusted the Orbiters from the start, but the more I hear about things like this, the more I think that there's a lot more going on here than we're being told.

I think so as well. They were strong enough, powerful enough, to save that many people. Why couldn't they stop the Storm? And why is this planet the only one that survived? It just strikes me as odd that this singular spot in the cosmos was spared. I want to trust them, Jack. I want to believe they have everyone's best interests at heart. I want to know that they are keeping their promise to protect Brigitte and everyone else as they sleep but a small part of me fears that one day, they could hold those sleeping lives hostage. Do what they want, or else. I...don't like thinking that. I still want to hope.
[ So Reinhardt has been traveling with Brigitte. For a moment Jack wants to ask about it, but he knows that it's better if he doesn't. Still, it's something that he files away. He's seen Torbjörn in one of the pods, but hadn't searched out his oldest daughter.

You're asking the right questions. And I've wondered the same thing. It's a huge bargaining chip that they have, and I'm pretty sure they know that they can use it against us.
