[ Jack doesn't feel the need to be anything but honest with someone like Ana. They understand each other implicitly and so he doesn't have to carefully craft what he says to her. That's what drew him to both her and Gabriel to begin with, if he's honest. It can get tiring trying to be so many different things to so many different people.
Both of their homes had taken their brunt of the omnic forces, and that probably went for everyone's home by now. There was very little of the globe that hadn't been affected by the war.
