Let's say reattaching your own hand puts some things in perspective.
[He looks up at the ceiling and around the room before he continues, like he might suddenly spot something amiss. He couldn't find any surveillance here, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any.]
[Oh well. He's just gonna have to hope.]
They brought us here, and with all that power they just... Threw us to the dogs. People died just because they're refugees and we still haven't even heard a peep from our esteemed hosts about it.
[ There probably is surveillance, but not the kind that they're used to. The Natha seem to be all-knowing, or all-seeing, or something. It sounds ridiculous, but 76 has seen enough impossible things that he's willing to believe it at this point.
They may be watching, but it doesn't seem like they ever intervene. That's almost more infuriating. ]
Guess once we're dumped on the planet, they stop caring about what happens to us after that. [ It makes no sense to him. They must be serving some sort of purpose to the Orbiters, but hell if he knows what that is. ]
Your hand?
[ He can't help trying to get a look, but nothing looks off about Cayde's mechanical parts. ]
[Cayde sweeps a hand in an arc as be says it, a vaguely dismissive gesture because he doesn't want to get in a whole thing about it. Bit of a hack job putting it back on but his gloves cover it well and he doesn't want to get into it with anyone.]
Anyway, much as I like this whole "not being dead" deal, there's gotta be some oinda oversight. What's the point in saving a bunch of folks just to let 'em die somewhere else?
[ There's a whole lot to unpack here. Explosive restraints, Cayde's implication that he'd been brought back from the dead much like Reinhardt -- he must have been another victim of the abductions.
Cayde is looking to him for answers, as if 76 has any. He should know a thing or two about looking after people, about oversight, but none of the Natha's decisions make any sense to him. ]
Your guess is as good as mine. I guess they're not that concerned, if they have the power to bring us back.
